first test run at Phoenix Industrial Park...I have lots of bugs to work out, i guess that's why they call it a test run. setting cars out at Phoenix Cement & Flex Foam were cut out...over all it wasn't too bad. a camera person would have been nice, it 'a hard to run a train & video at the same time. during the running, i did not narrate but, there will be captions of what's going on. there was no switch list, i just picked a few cars & blocked them...the blocking will be done at Mobest yard by the yard crew

UPDATE #5

more progress on my layout a little money saving tip & a test run around Mobest yard. I am also testing one of my new dc locos, a Kato sd70mac. none of the track is secured yet, I see a change i want to do, change one of my cross-overs from a left to a right.
my bad on the last move, I was going to the right track to begin with. I also didn't show the moves to the industries to the south of the yard. thanks for watching.

update #4.... yard trackage!!!!

i have been messing around test fitting my yard & surrounding industry tackage..so far everything is working out as per my drawing. i stand corrected for miss- naming one of my industreis it's SAN PLUMBING SUPPLY not SUN...the area to the right of "FLEX FOAM" i will be adding some more frame work so i can put a few sky-scrapers to represent phoenix proper.i also added some LED lighting & a piece of back drop at the hole in the wall
enjoy the video & thanks for watching

hello to all...i am in the process of tearing down my layout...this is a follow up video to ERIC HALL"S (IMRRO,com) video that was done the day on the before. unfortuneately i am not able to upload the video we did together but Eric will be posting the edited version on his channel in about 3-4 weeks.we had a little bit of fun while doing the vid. so, if you have not subscribed to his channel, check him out & subscribe.. he has lots of great stuff & how to's. posted
i want to thank Eric for making the 40 mile drive to document my final run & a final look at my layout
this video is #2 of my progress of tearing down my layout.( it is a follow up to Erics video ).this video shows all the structures off the layout & packed away except for one ( need a box) it also shows the final run back to Mobest yard. of corse my layout didn't let me down, i had a derailment in the last 2 feet of the run ( i did not delete the derailment)...the cause is from unsecured points ( no tortoise or groung throws)
stay tuned for more on my tear down vids
thanks for watching & as always comments, subs & questions are welcome
for now BNSF6951....out

NEW TRACK PLAN FOR MY PEAVINE SUB

hello to all
i am currently in the process of buying a home. while i am waiting for all the papers to be signed, inspection & appraisal to be done, i have occupied myself by drawing up a new track plan for my BNSF Peavine sub. this layout will occupy 2 rooms 1 bedroom & the den that is adjacent to the bedroom.the bedroom measures 11ft.x 11ft & the dens common wall ( with the bedroom) measures 11ft x 9.5 ft w & the final measurement is the left wall of the den @ 13 ft. i intend to go through the wall that separates the 2 rooms giving me a run of approximately 19 ft.on the lower level & the same with the upper level.
i am attaching the drawings of my new track plan to get some comments & suggestions. i am using ME code 55 flex track & a combo of Atlas & ME turnouts. the scale of the drawing is 1 inch = 1 Ft. & is not 100% accurate. i will be using a helix kit that i will be purchasing from an ebay vender. the helix is built for double main line with an out side radius of 16.5" & inside radius of 15" @ a 2% grade. spacing between levels = 2". measurement of the kit = 36" by 15".
so here are the pics...let me know what you all think

thanks ...vinny
