this is a short slide show on how iinstalled coboose hobbies grond throws.i have watched many videos from people on various sites do installs to operate their manual turnouts.there where many good ideas but they all had some sort of cable or rod coming through their facsias. i didn't want to clutter up my facsia with cables and / or rods. so i came up with the video on how i did the install. more text in the slide show.
i am also showing a test run showing the ground throw operation
thanks for watching. comments & questions are welcome. i forgot to mention an importatnt item...the ground throws...

being bored today i decided to switch out a couple of my industries. i found that i have a couple of issues with my turnouts.the locos stall going over the frogs. a couple of feeder wires will fix that. i was not able to get the uncoupling on video because i was doing everything by my self ( running the train, videoing & operating the manual turnouts.) the bnsf unit will be renumbered enjoy the video & as always, your comments, questions & subs are welcome.
this is one of my scratch builds. it is not prototypical because i decided to build it as a 2 story stucture.most of the industries are single story concrete tip ups. it's my railroad..right????? the wall are constructed of different thickness styrene in 2 sections ( upper & lower) if you go back on a couple of my vids, you will see the mock up as a single story structure. i wanted something a bit taller. enjoy the slide show
your comments, subs & questions are always wecome

hello every one...these are some pics of the latest addition to my layout.they were made for my "Phoenix Plastics" industry by Elvin Howland of layout concepts ( layoutconcepts@yahoo.com) i have contracted Elvin to do all the tanks on my layout. to date, Elvin has made 50+ tanks for me & i am very happy & pleased with the outcome. Elvin also scratch builds structures.
the second addition are the trees. these trees are native to the phoenix area, they are called "Palos Verde" they were custom made for me by Bob Lacey of Longshadows (trains56@yahoo.com) at this point, Bob has made about 50 trees for me. he will be doing more for me in the future. if you need trees give Bob a shout out
thanks for watching.

to all.. here the video clips from the second part of my rail fanning day. the battery in my camera was going low so these clips are cut short. it seems like all the are doing is going back & forth but there are several moves going on. we were not allowed on "Cal gases" property so i couldn't' get the spotting of the cars in the complex.
by the end of the day the crew moved more than 100 cars
enjoy the vid
